The High Calling of God
Tanakh (Old Testament):
Goal of the Jewish people is to praise, thank, confess, obey, and make know the living God—be a light to the nations. (Isaiah 49:6)
You cannot be a light to the nations without shining the light of Yeshua. It is our goal through the Ruach Ha-Kodesh (Holy Spirit) to show Yeshua is written on every page of the Tanakh, after all, the thrust of the book is the reconciliation of the world back to it’s creator. God chose a people, Israel, from all peoples on earth, to reveal and preserve His Word.
Tanakh & Brit Chadashah (New Covenant):
Goal of the Messianic Community—praise, thank, confess, obey and make know the living God—to make disciples of all nations (Matthew 28:18-20) —so that through Yeshua those far from the national life of Israel might be brought near.
Tear down the wall of partition
The Messianic Community of Believers, (of which ECBY is a part), has the responsibility to follow through with God’s calling. This movement virtually started from nothing fifty years ago and has become the means of dispelling the contradictions, differences, misunderstandings, discord, hate, violence, and refusal to communicate, that have marred the relationship between Jewish people and Christian’s (the two separate branches of the one people of God) for nearly two thousand years.
Messianic Judaism wakes people up to the realization they can be 100% Jewish and 100% Messianic at the same time. It also wakes people up to the realization they can be 100% people from the nations (Gentile) and 100% grafted into Israel. There is no distinction when it comes to salvation and righteousness before God.
